Speaker Bio:

Dr. Gerard J. Gianoli specializes in Neuro-otology and Skull Base Surgery. He is in private practice at The Ear and Balance Institute, located in Covington, Louisiana and is also a Clinical Associate Professor at Tulane University School of Medicine. His private practice has a worldwide reach, with patient referrals coming from all over the United States, Europe, Asia and elsewhere. Dr. Gianoli was a major focus of the book “A Hole in My Life” (2016) by Philippa Thomson. He is editor of the textbook “Third Mobile Window Syndrome of the Inner Ear: Superior Semicircular Canal Dehiscence and Associated Disorders” (2022). He has received numerous awards. He has researched, lectured and published extensively on the topic of vestibular disorders, including evaluation of dizziness in the litigating patient and identification of malingering. He was the primary investigator for a NASA study that led to non-invasive intracranial pressure assessment to be used in the International Space Station. Dr. Gianoli opted out of Medicare in 2001 and has had a 100% third-party-free practice since 2005. He’s lectured and written extensively on third party free medical practices and free market medicine. His editorials have appeared in The Wall Street Journal and other major outlets.
